Care Assistant Adult Learning Disabilites (North Yorkshire)


4Social Work has an exciting Resource Worker position that has become available within the Adult Learning Disabilites services. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to work within a challenging yet rewarding role for our client based in the North Yorkshire area located in the Leyburn area.


The position will be initially for a month, but is likely to be extended due to the urgent requirement.


Job Description:
•    To provide a high quality of care to adults with Learning disabilites and challenging behaviour in accordance with the council guidelines and procedures.
•    To be able to provide personal care for service users with disabilites & challenging behaviour.
•    To provide care which focuses on the needs of the individual but also promotes independence and choices and maximises the quality of life!
•    Be a competent communicator.
•    Have current manual handling, food & Hygiene and first aid training.
•    To assist service users in community outings.
•    To assist work alongside night staff worker


This role is starting as a trial but if you perform well and the manager feels you have the correct skills and are sutiable for the service users you may be asked back and included in the weekly rotas.
