Independent Reviewing Officer (Children services)
4Social Work has an exciting Independent Reviewing Officer position that has become available within Childrens Services we are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to work within a challenging yet rewarding role for our client based in North East of the UK
The position will be initially for 3 Months, but is likely to be extended due to the nature of the work.
Duties May Include:
• Manage the conferencing and reviewing service by ensuring appropriate systems for arranging, chairing and recording the meetings are in place and working effectively.
• Chair child protection conferences, children’s looked after reviews, secure accommodation reviews, according to statutory, departmental, and LSCB requirements reflecting best practice and research findings whilst ensuring positive outcomes for child/children and their families.
• Promote the involvement of children and families in the conference and review process and make sure that their views are fully represented in planning, service delivery and decision making.
• To monitor and evaluate the quality of child protection practices and planning processes and advise on policy and procedural issues including the provision of statistical data relevant to Performance Management objectives.
Please note that this is a qualified position so you will need a social work degree/masters or equivalent, be GSCC registered and have relevant experience for this role. Any applications received without meeting these minimum criteria will not be considered.
