Contact Support Worker Children in Care (Essex)


4Social Work has an exciting Contact Support Worker position that has become available within Children in care services. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to work within a challenging yet rewarding role for our client based in the Essex area.


The position will be initially for a week, but is likely to be extended due to the urgent requirement.


Job Description:
•    To supervise contact between children in care and their parents/families.
•    To provide support to families going through proceedings.
•    To write notes and then write a report on the session.
•    Carry out an investigation as directed by the social worker.
•    Must be able to produce court reports, contact reports.
•    Must be able to build and develop rapport with families and children.
•    Must have experience working with Children with behaviour & Educational needs.
•    Must be willing to transport the children back to the foster care/residential setting if required.


This role is starting as a trial but if you perform well and the manager feels you have the correct skills and are sutiable for the service users you may be asked back and included in the weekly rotas.
